Motor LA is delighted to be able to offer for sale this stunning 1970 Mustang Fastback which has just completed a multi-year restoration to create this bespoke Mach 1 Tribute.

Painstakingly created with an investment of over $40,000 (receipts included with the sale) this Grabber Orange Tribute was created by combining an original Mach 1 with a 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback.  Unfortunately, the original Mach 1 was too perished to create a feasible base upon which to restore, so a more solid 1970 Mustang Fastback (VIN 0T02H162768) was used as the underpinning.  This vehicle, (with an included Deluxe Marti Report) shows that this 1970 Fastback was supplied in Grabber Orange, with a 351 Cleveland V8 engine.

The original Mach 1 provided many of the key interior parts to facilitate this build and together with replacement parts and modern touches, this Mach 1 Tribute was born.  In fact, all components which show as being Mach 1 were donated from the original vehicle.

During the restoration, the original 351-2V Cleveland motor was fully stripped and restored, along with the FMX Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic, automatic transmission.

Combining the classic lines and look of the original 1970 Mach 1 with modernized electronics has produced this reliable, useable, powerful and attractive Tribute Mustang to be enjoyed for many decades to come.
